Timmus Down South: Any Requests?

Hello fellow A2ers,

I am heading south next week. I'll be in Cambridge on the morning of Friday 26th Feb. As such, if there are any requests, please get in touch.
Should you be based between Lancaster and Cambridge, then I may be able to visit you on my way south. From Friday 26th, I'll be heading into London before making my way to the Bristol area before eventually making my way home up the western side of Britain.

My route isn't fixed in stone and I'm not working to a particularly tight schedule, so I'm happy to detour to almost anywhere in the southern reaches of the country. I'll also happily pop across the bridge into South Wales.

So far, I've got requests for a multifunction steering wheel, heated seats, DIS, Bose, cruise control and Bluetooth integration. All those who are having work done are flexible about timing, so please feel free to hijack my route with your requests. I'll be travelling in my own A2, so won't be able to do any jobs involving massive parts like fitting a double-DIN dash, but otherwise the choice is huge. If there's anything you'd like doing but are unsure whether I'll be able to offer it 'on the move', please get in touch to discuss.

I haven't got a replacement car yet, but chances are our paths will cross in the future Tom.

I have heard very good testimonials about your work and can only applaud what you do and the sharing of your craftsmanship amongst the members. Wth yourself, A2 cars and many, many other skilled people in the club, the future of A2 ownership looks to be in very safe hands. Safe and pleasurable trip.

If Farsund is the North-North, where's Nordkapp!? :p

I've been to Denmark, Sweden and Finland (well, Åland), but I've not yet been to Norway. One day it will happen. I will drive the camper van along the west coast with my bottom jaw resting on the steering wheel.

Nordkapp is the end of the world. Farsund is Norwegian Costa-del-Sol, when there is Sol, of course. You'll have to come from Denmark I guess, so you are landing not far from Farsund.

Hi Tom. Im in the south east but happy to drive to you for assistance. My wifes A2 has never run properly and I am
nearly ready to throw in the towel. We were discussing trading it in this very weekend. i have started a number of
threads and have tried as many of the suggestions as possible. My local audi performance specialist
couldn't find anything wrong but agreed the damned thing was not right.

I had a Timmus visit yesterday too, to retrofit Cruise Control to my 2001 A2. Tom arrived when he said he would (a feat in itself, given his schedule) and had the job done in very short order. Very impressed, and like many others, would happily recommend Tom.

First of all, many thanks to those who have posted positive feedback both here and in other threads as I've travelled the southern reaches of the UK. It was great seeing old friends and making new acquaintances. I'm now home, having been 'on tour' for exactly a week.

Many thanks to everyone for being flexible and making the logistics of such a long chain possible. Apologies to the few people for whom this trip didn't work out. Rest assured, there'll be a next time!

My best fuel economy figures were achieved on my third and final tank of fuel. I did 536 miles on 33.2 litres of diesel, achieving circa 74mpg. Given the cold weather, my broad 205 tyres and the fact that the Webasto was running a lot of the time to keep me warm, I'm pleased with that. :)
