To Wave or Not to Wave, that is the Question

HI all, loving being part of the forum having wanted to own an A2 for years but simply failing to find the perfect match. Well, now I have, I'm proud as punch and always on the lookout for other A2 (so far I've not seen one on the road!) that are out and about.

As a previous MX5 owner we had a great community spirit and wondered if the wave or acknowledgement of another A2 was acceptable? Had I seen one I might know but seeing that I haven't I don't know.

If it's not... I'm going to start the trend as of today! There clearly ain't many of us left, lets wave and smile like mad folk!

Tom ?????

You go doing that down here and them men in white coats just as likely to carry you off and throw away the key matey ???.......and of course there are those areas of town we’re waving at someone might get you the wrong kind of attention ..?

I used to have a wonderfully weird Fiat Multipla (thats a lie, I had two...) and always waved for other daring drivers. Not seen it with A2s yet, but there aren’t many up my way
Good to know there are other nutters about, I had 3 multiplas, brilliant cars, currently own 4 A2's so I think I can be certified.
I wave ?at A2's when I see them on the road, mixed reaction but I will carry on waving.

I used to own a burgandy and black 2CV Charleston, back in the day waving was practically compulsory, we were a merry lot!
I now own a Piedmont red A2 and whilst it's a lot quicker and more reliable than a 2CV I feel it has something of the spirit of a 2CV about it!
Carry on waving!

I also owned a gray and black 2hp Charleston. What did the A2 have in common ? : same length, same wheelbase!

johnyfartbox and BobbySox I’ll catch you one day, I’m right between you two, and give you a massive wave. I’ll be in a silver one with TT alloys or a dolphin grey with 18” sport alloys ( Or black grand cherokee ).
Andy.
