Are you sure Andy ?
All A2's I've seen have the captive nuts present with the exception of the captive nuts at the very back of the car, nut and bolts can be used for these with the exception of one which you cant get at to attach a nut, so I leave this one without a fastening (there are more than enough anyway)
The captive nuts normally have aluminium foil in front of them

Cheers,
Paul

Most definitely, I have holes and no nuts. Looks like rivnuts would fit but they would need to be pulled in from behind, so I have ordered some M8 nylock flange nuts.

So now you just need to get another one, right? ๐Ÿคฃ
I like your thinking! Although Iโ€™m planning on spending the mileage money on the big jobs next year, fancy a JDD gearbox and then whatever the MOT throws up. Good news when I checked my emails today, my boss only processed 2 of my 3 hire car requests, so Iโ€™m still in the A2 for next weeks 1000 mile tour of England ๐Ÿ‘

Today I did a round trip from Cornwall to Edinburgh and back. Up via flybe, back via "Haggis" as he is to be known.
543 miles drive home, averaged 63.1mpg. Had some pretty pants rain and wind from Birmingham onwards. Still a successful trip and I am very pleased with Haggis ๐Ÿ˜Š.
I look forward to adding the goodies that I have stashed in the man cave.
Bed for me now, I'm POOPED!!

No photo until I fit the other aerial when it arrives. The Pure 600 lives in the passenger side A pillar trim.
@cheechy So this is how I attach the external DAB aerial to the Pure 600. A piece of 0.3mm copper strip replacing the stick on plastic aerial in the plug. The plastic one will just pull out with a bit of force. Then solder the inner wire of the aerial lead to the copper and earth the shield wire. Voila, much better quality signal.

Thanks!

With the through glass aerial can you quantify how much better the signal showing on the highway 600 is?

Today I was thankful for my recent impulse purchase of a pair of cast control arms. I had intended them for @Jeffers66's yellow Storm that I'm picking up next weekend, which has the pressed ones. However I found out that the offside balljoint on my Cobalt car had unfortunately joined the droplink on that side in making enthusiastic knocking noises  Supplying my own replacement part saved me the cost and a week's wait for a new one, and being just a bolt-on due to having the attachment with it, saved quite a lot of labour charge too. Guess I'll keep the other one as a spare since I still have two cars that might need it, and look for another pair on the Market.

Also, just come back in from adjusting the NS headlight aim upwards, having replaced that unit while the evenings were way too long to be able to see a beam pattern on a brick wall much before bedtime. I always use the local sports centre carpark for this, where it's nice and flat and the wall's at the less busy end away from the main doors. Being dark meant I could also get away with driving a mile there and back without the bonnet on, that's a first for me :D It certainly sounds throatier like that!

Today I convinced my dad to buy a A2 :)

Heโ€™s planning on buying one in May when I can start driving because then we can bring 2 A2โ€™s to socials๐Ÿ˜

I knew he caught the A2 bug because I kept seeing him looking for A2โ€™s and I think Iโ€™ve just pushed him over the edge to get one YAY๐Ÿ˜

I just need to convince my mum and sister now๐Ÿ˜‚
