Today and yesterday I at last got round to modifying my Coming Home Light to make it MOT compliant. I followed audifan method and took photos to illustrated the slightly different method I used:
Now I need to cut out the light switch panel - that's the scary bit!
How I made my auto headlight switch pass the new MOT
The auto headlight switch as we all know does not come with a functioning tel tale for the rear fogs. This is now a mot failure ( yes some testers either know the switch cannot be accidentally left on rear fogs or do not check either way a gamble. I tried to find a way to use the existing LED...

Today I had the first major issue with Tonka during my period of ownership with the intercooler going pop. Fortunately my appeal for help was, as ever, answered quickly, helpfully and with kindness that went well above and beyond what one might expect. Huge thanks to @A2Steve @audifan @depronman and especially @Proghound for your assistance. It is greatly appreciated and is yet another example of this community going the extra mile to assist a member most of them have never even met. ?

I saved an A2 from being sent to the scrapyard. Drove it home and found a large oil leakage from the oil sensor. Not sure if the engine can be saved since there is a bad noice from the engine.

Worked with my black FSI and changed the rear shock absorbers and also changed to Audi A1 wheels with winter tires.
I also had time to remove the ugly purple window tint film that was on my green 1.4.

.. put the interior mostly back into the car. MoT time Wednesday... cleared errors in preparation. Let's see if they come back. Looking forward to having the radio working!

Today I...... got the news that Ada is coming home. My A2 been off the road since late August for a major refurb to the underbody and replacement of all springs, ancillaries, fixings and a refurbished rear chassis. Passed her MOT on Monday with no advisories. I pick the car up tomorrow after a service and a professional detail - so will post some pictures of the result. That's no too bad a cliffhanger. Weds till Friday ??????????

Yep all shiny and new...didn’t take long to change them but the old ones are only fit for the bin ?
No, it's obviously one for bleeding the brakes, the other for draining the hot coolant which is why the red bit is on the handle to tell the difference.I think these parts were fitted to your wallet for FSI owners but has now been superseded by the Pro Boost ECU.
