Today I.....

I finally got the fog lights on. Thanks to @Ami for the passenger side light and surround and @steve@cromford for the fixing recommendation (they worked perfectly). Combined with the replacement bumper from @Vanders (and slam panel and extras from @A2Steve) the front end is back to its beautiful best! ?

Just a shame the two fog surrounds have seen differing amounts of wear ?

And hey... Imagine the boredom of lockdown if I hadn’t purchased a car (lemon) with a slightly hidden past ?

If any number of 'back to black' products dont work on the faded fog light surround, then carefully try a hot air gun, that will make them match.

Nice, who refurbished them and at what cost if you don’t mind me asking?

No problem. My mate runs a detailing business in Hampshire called Auto Curators. (www.autocurators.com). They are the only place I take my cars for detailing, paint work, ppf, and wheel refurbs.

The wheel refurbishment they use is My Alloys in Basingstoke, who have done many wheels for me (and for Auto Curators).

4 wheels of this size will be about 250-300.

Today I got some new boots fitted. Went for Dunlop Street Response 2 again as they have given me good service (roughly 35k) and seem to have good wet grip.

They’re still a competitive summer tyre and well tried and tested (including by you it seems) - so why not.

Led repeaters, they weren’t added today but over the weekend.

I replaced as the drivers side had broken the little plastic clips and was loose.

Love or hate them ?

Today I..well yesterday actually, having noticed a misfire followed by the emissions warning light driving near my house on Sunday, rang Gary at B&F Autos Hounslow. He told me to bring it in and diagnosed a blown coil. Gary ordered a replacement in and fitted it along with new spark plugs, all sorted by lunchtime. Excellent prompt service and fair pricing from Gary once more.
