Today I.....

Looking good! I likenthe chrome trim on top of thebdoor before the window begins. Is it origininal. Never seen this before. Accentuates the line of the a2 nicely

Thanks, no this is stick on chrome trim from a reel, you’ll notice that on the front quarter window it is peeling a little, the seller gave me some spare trim but not sure if I should remove it?

Today I had my first Covid 19 vaccination.......oh and fit my new Varta F19 battery into my TDI to replace the smaller lower spec battery that was fit by the previous owner.

Perfect fit and exploded into life at the first turn of the key.

Both A2 and it's custodian absolutely delighted?

Not exactly today, but yesterday.....I picked this lovely one up. Same owner since 2003, a few little faults, namely a pretty healthy oil leak and needing a thermostat. Will all be sorted out over the next few months and will replace a 2019 Citroen C3 lease car for my wife to use.

If you read this Mark, thank you, she will be looked after ?

And I’m the current owner!!! Lovely to make your acquaintance. I know your name already from the service history! ??
Amazing. Guess you changed the registration number finally? As the old plate doesn’t show up anymore when I check on the car.

I’m glad it’s still going. ?

Today I took my FSI down to the workshop and re-earthed the main wire behind the passenger headlight.

Today I learnt what it is like to drive an FSI that no longer missfires, yes my missfires have finally gone and the car is a completly different beast to drive.

The Audi A2 is the first car i have owned and i was just putting up with the sloppy power. I had really low torque at lower RPM's and gear changes were always sluggish. I always felt tired driving it, as i was forever having to change down and up gears to keep the feel of power going.

I am over the moon, after all the trouble shooting re-earthing seemed too good to be true in a way. It was not though.

Off for a drive *peace*

Coming up to 6years and having done 40k of it's 185k miles in my ownership my A2, other than on it's it yearly service, for the very 1st time I have had to put engine oil in.

Is it time to sell:)

It's good to hear from a happy FSI'er.
Hope your using 98/99 octane Super Unleaded. If not, you really should be. It'll go even better ?
Mac.

Today I .... had a little dose of karma. Had not much option other than to mow down a pheasant this morning - traffic sadly both oncoming and too close behind me when it darted out. Inevitable result, A2=1, Nature=0 :( No damage to the A2 except to loosen a foglight surround which I just clipped back in. But this lunchtime I came out to find a mahooooosive bird poo on its roof :D
