Hope that it's only that, nasty shock I'll bet.
Been thinking about it and can’t imagine what the noise was. I suspect the turbo would have been massively unbalanced due to no boost but I don’t know if that can cause problems? It was consistent and has now gone.

Probably was the turbo. Once no back pressure was on the compressor, the Turbo would accelerate incredibly fast.
Good job the Turbo didn't let go!

Today I recieved another order of material, to recover the headlining and door pillars for Smurf. At least the biscuit is cleaned off ready, I HATE that job!

Full write up needed please Tom :)
Afternoon Steve,

I’m about to hit the road for the week and will fill in the gaps on how I did it upon return or one evening throughout the week.

For now though, this is what was removed from the factory A2 grill to simply push the A4 Grill into place:

Currently adhered with a strip of UHB tape (same as the footrests) both top and bottom. I’ve not yet adhered the A2 grill fins to the A4 grill.

Kind regards,

Tom

Today, i had a new undertray fitted to my 1.4TDI, got a garage to fit the tray I got from Audi UK (£54 with sound deadening pre attached) as easier if you have a lift. The original was missing several bolts! No wonder it worked loose - now a lot quieter!
This prompted me to buy a new undertray today. There are only 7 left in the Audi UK stock at that low price.....only for Tdi,s though sadly as petrol ones are NLA from Audi.
