Doesn't that look pretty!Ahead of the LEZ being enforced and dropping my daughter at the bus station I thought I'd capture a final picture of my TDI A2 in the city centre. The new bus gates and one way systems seem to be discouraging all motorists.
Hi.Paul that would be amazing if you have . I can call over either later today or tomorrow whichever is better for you. Si

Good to meet you Alan, sorry about the impromptu dropping in, didn’t really intend to stop, but saw your car, and saw your wife in the garden, so it would have been a bit odd to have driven byToday I met Drew @datsundrew for the first time, having recently realised we live in the same town. Really nice chap.
I saw the Dolphin Grey A2with OSS that he rescued last September and has since given it some much needed love and attention.
Drew most kindly offered to help me change my A2's springs and dampers in time for my holiday given that I recently discovered that a garage some years back and fitted ones that were most unsuitable (too hard). Ordered the bits this morning with the help of @carlston Many thanks guys.
Every day's a school daytoday i swapped a knackered door check strap in my kia sportage; a job that would've been way beyond me a few years ago had i not first learned how to do it in my a2 via the wonderful advice / how-to / knowledgebases on this forum.
iv never been mechanically minded but in the short time ive owned alfie ive swapped out the door strap, swapped all filters, replaced all the springs and mounts and shocks - all thanks to the a2oc.

You've probably got them by now Alan but I fitted Munroe 23890 dampers recently and they had new nuts on them in the box.Ordered some Monroe Dampers / Shocks 23948 for my TDi 75. Looks like they don't come with the nut at the top. According to 7Zap its

I find the x1 strange.
An ebay search only finds Latvia suppliers at £20+ each! I tried searching for hexagon nut, self-locking M10 but there are so many variations of these: coarse; stainless, zinc; steel, tensile strength, nylock flange, serrated flange
A google search is only showing foreign websites and special order and discontinued. This is crazy for a nut! Are our A2 going to be driven off the road for want of a nut
Can anyone provide a source of quality substitute please. Thanks
My Bilstein that I fitted also came with new nuts. You've probably got them by now Alan but I fitted Munroe 23890 dampers recently and they had new nuts on them in the box.
