Today I.....

Yep nothing else needed. I have used star drops for years followed in my dads footsteps on this one
If you have a really stubborn stain a little nest stars tops and a nail brush to agitate it then use the normal diluted stuff from the vax

@Jeetesh since you mention autoglym, do you recommend any particular autoglym products for cleaning the interior and exterior?

I need to give my TDI a good clean before I take the photos for sale and had a look on the shelves the other day and there were more autoglym variants than sweets in a candy shop ?
For the interior there’s upholstery shampoo, my seats and door cards after using them have come up like new and really surprised as I expected clean but not this good.

Exterior - I actually use a turtlewax car wash and wax in one and it comes out really shiny, so much so I rarely ever wax the car. My media pictures of my car attached to my profile are just washed with this and nothing else done to clean.

Glass cleaner - I have four different brands, from cheap to Autoglym and in all fairness the cheap works nearly as well as the most expensive. The Autoglym and turtlewax are steak free so work best.

Tyre black - all much of a muchness. The cheaper ones tend to be more shiny but all broadly have the same ingredients so the choice is yours.

In all fairness Autoglym is the premium product and I rate the interior shampoo. The only reason I have others is I found a relay cheap deal on eBay as normally I love the turtlewax products which for me balance price/effectiveness.

or a bottle od star drops from B&M bargains for 89p
works a treat in by vax carpet and apolstery clearner withed with hot tap water
never failed on seats / carpets / seat belts

Plus 1 for the stardrops. Can't beat it bang for buck. Another very good 'cheap' product is Elbow Grease. Comes in a squirty bottle and is luminous yellow. God knows what's in it, but it will get pretty much anything of anything car interior wise.

I got some stuff that is luminous yellow a while back, can't recall what it was called but it worked wonders but it was about eight quid for a litre.

I was getting to work in the mornings recently and thinking I had sticky hands so went to wash them as soon as I got in. I was sure that I had cleaned my hands well after making my sandwiches, so I wondered what it was. Hmm, what do my hands do between setting off for work and getting there? I thought and thought then "LightBulb"...
I just cleaned my leather steering wheel for the first time ever (I have probably wiped it down a couple of times before) I wiped it with a hand cleansing wipe and it came away black, another two cloth wipes and it was a bit better. I will be getting some Stardrops this weekend.

Cool ?. That seldom happens to me unfortunately. Ready to drive condition?

Yes and with an MOT until mid April, done 90k and in good clean condition apart from a small bit of damage to the front bumper and the guy said the brake pad indicator light is on. Hopefully the corrosion underneath isnt too bad but its been garaged a lot so might have saved the subframes etc better.

Going to pick it up next friday, so see how it drives on the way back and if all is ok, ill be offloading my 08 Yaris which is probably going to end up scrapped as no one will want it.
