Today I.....

Somewhat extreme then!

The 1.2tdi has a Cd of 0.25, changing trims will probably make minimal/no difference however other bits will, I’d take a stab its about 0.21 Cd unless he’s done more underbody in which case maybe a little better.

Mods however will only gain minimal improvements as the current 94mpg may only get him to say 100-105 mpg as the mods make no difference to urban driving I’d suspect.

He was apparently getting 2.5l/100km (110mpg) with these mods - there's some more info here: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthread.php/audi-a2-3l-aeromodded-max-fe-26651.html.

Mira did some testing with an A2 and found the largest benefits came from grill blocks and a full body undertray:

Realised my A2 is probably the best car I ever owned and indeed still own. Been my daily for 16 years, far longer than anything else I've owned, went through a troublesome patch a couple of years ago but with 165K on still delivers reliable motoring, reasonable economy, also the looks are starting to attract attention of ladies in particular: or perhaps it's the driver?

got to the bottom of why my cruise control had stopped working. Whilst at the dealer last week getting a dipstick (my third) I asked for a brake light bulb for the A2. Tip: if you put a single filament in place of the double filament brake light bulb you'll get a brake switch error and cruise will stop working (and your brake lights will all be on when you turn on the headlights). Lesson learned: dont trust the dealers ability to give you the correct bulb.

Thank you mate, very much appreciated. I had sciatica in November and collapsed, requiring paramedic assistance. I’ve still not recovered. The op is to remove a disc that has collapsed and which continues to trap the sciatic nerve.
I’ve had that, it’s unbelievably painful and miserable. The good news is it does recover and I was back playing sport and getting back to normal life pretty soon. Being active is the key!

Today I replaced the door check-strap on the front passenger side.
It had been making an awful noise the last couple of days.
Not sure how it managed to self-destruct to such an extent; nor if it's a suitable candidate for Depronman's refurb service! ?

Today I restored Jelly to a 5 seater. Since our excursion to Skye last year we have only had front seats, with an extended floor in the rear, to carry a mid mounted dog cage.
Zosha is not too impressed at having to jump in the rear hatch! Rear side door entry was much easier.

After having done that, do you experience any difference in shift feel?

None whatever. But the old oil no longer stood up to temperatures below freezing, so it definitely needed doing.

The garage who did the work commented that there was no obvious water in the box, and definitely no rust, but that the level had dropped somewhat over the years.

....discovered that this is the first A2 breaker I’ve had in, that has vegetation growing on it ?

It has a nice line of moss that it’s growing in, I’d have though that it would have been subject to the airflow over the car then hitting the spoiler and would be whipped away but then if there is moss growing clearly it’s been sat still for a fair period of time!

If its a breaker and your not going to be driving it, can you plant some thing else in it......... try cress! ?
