Hi guys, which MAP sensor is better?

(1) Made by Bella and got new gasket https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124178970999

(2)Made by Magneti Mirelli and got no new gasket.

Thanks.
Why not Bosch?

Why not Bosch?

It wouldn't fit unfortunately, it has to be 036906051. With that code I couldn't find Bosch around £30-40.
I'd ordered a 036906051D before and that was the wrong size. Thanks

Hi , that’s interesting … what’s your plan for the electrics . I’ve still not done mine yet . Don’t like chocolate blocks or scotch locks but haven’t got a plug in piggy back kit as they don’t seem to be available . I haven’t asked Timmus yet though .

I’m sure we covered this elsewhere??? If in doubt, WOM for mechanicals and @timmus for electrical ??

Collected the 1.6fsi that I got a friend to view and purchase last weekend. Driven 275 miles home in it today and have to say it's amazing and feels so tight. Makes my 152k mile diesel feel old ! Gave it a wash tonight and intending to do a full paint correction and then ceramic coating on it . The paint is actually in great condition . A dent in the rear bumper which my local bodyshop reckon they can heat and pull out without having to paint as the paint hasn't been damaged. Leather seats are like new ! Reckon I got a great bargain . £900. Just turned 52k miles on the way home .View attachment 85492
I have been on the lookout for leather seats for mine and ended up getting 2 MK1 Audi TT heated front seats in black which can be adapted just need some matching A2 rear seats. There was a full set of leather seats on eBay at £950. Yours are wrapped in aluminium as well?.

I think we did . A Trip to WOM is on the cards to sort one or two mech items I don’t want to do myself . I would have liked to get to the camping meet and have a chat with Timmus about the electrics . Sadly couldn’t make it .
Car still up and running though Erling thanks to your help with the wheel . Spent the weekend of the camping meet sorting the front suspension so that’s a whole lot better. Today I will give my A2 a good clean I think

Today I got to drive in a tdi 1.2 auto for the 1st time, I wonder if I can convince the boss to get one

Thanks to go to Rob at WOM for this quite rare opportunity, and sorry for going so fast! (So easy to do)

Today we bumped into fellow member @Malcyb in Kirkcudbright, it's really weird when you bump into someone when you are both miles from home. They have the good fortune to be staying in the area for another 10 days or so, unfortunately we go home on Monday.
Definitely think it's worth considering a weekend social in this area as it is lovely without being too overrun with tourists.
My car feels at home too as he has seen plenty of other SB reg No's.

What were the chances!? We’re here in our campervan touring Dumfries & Galloway, giving Gracie a good rest. @RZX is right, the roads are empty round here. And very pretty.

Absolute beauty you've bought there, looks a belter to me looking at all the pics well done for spotting it and glad it's gone to a good home. Still can't believe what's been unearthed here. :D A part of me feels a little envious i didn't see it, i don't look anyway - way too many cars here already. Just chuffed for you - i am a little speechless - it's just an awesome looking A2!

Regarding the rear bumper close-up pick, can you see the crack just under the rear lens? Looks like that will need to be repaired and painted, get those wheels refurbished and it will look like a new car. Just amazing. ?

Yeah I'd noticed the small crack at the top of the bumper . Going to see how it is once it's pushed back out . Would ideally prefer not to have it painted and could live with that small crack if that was the case.

Swapped over scuttle for early fan type washers while tidying up I noticed a tube hanging free with a bolt inserted into its end like this

which I believe connects to this box to the left of the multi plug anyone know what it’s for?

Evening Steve,

You know I’m no mechanical expert but in and around that area on the TDI engine should be a rubber tube that goes to the EGR Valve. Maybe this is the one that has been blocked to bypass it?

I’m sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly Sir.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Tom, I had a shifty around the egr valve as I as thinking along a similar line but to be honest I’m not sure what I was looking for

The vacuum hose connected to the top of the EGR valve.. On the AMF to deactivate the EGR this hose is disconnected from the EGR and the open end of the hose blocked off.
