Today I.....

That broken spring can cause all sorts of issues not only to the car itself but other road users. It could jam and cause handling issues, could pierce the tyre and cause a blow out, who knows how the car would handle in an emergency event such as swerving a child crossing the road, parts could fall off and puncture others tyres, or bounce and hit something or someone, the front axle is now imbalanced and braking will be affected.

You are aware the car is no longer in a road worthy condition as does the garage, insurance probably compromised now.

You get the idea. THIS NEEDS TO BE SORTED OUT A.S.A.P. Always replace suspension parts in pairs.

Im switching to my other car until it’s sorted, thanks for the warning!

I have the Michelin's on the Honda CRV, they seem pretty good so far.?
That's good to see; had a set of Crossclimate + fitted to my temporary A3 a couple of years ago. Was amazing, however they did replace four mis-matched budget tyres... ???

...I am having Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres fitted. And tomorrow, Alison will be serviced and have a new Dogbone fitted. It's only lasted 254,000 miles... ?
Nice tyres, I had some good life and grip from those on an SUV, that must be a record for the dogbone mount!!!!

Fsi failed its mot a few days ago. Cut on the inside of the front tyre , rear caliper (which I knew it needed ), rear indictor bulb not orange enough ! and brake light switch needed replaced. Have replaced both front tyres now so car has a full set of matching Bridgestone tyres . Now thinking of selling it as circumstances have changed . This was going to be a keeper and I've done quite a bit to it having only owned it for a couple of months. No doubt I'll drive it tomorrow when I collect it from the garage and want to keep it! It drives so much better than my tdi75.

This evening I picked 5 excellent pepperpot alloy wheels and 4 very good hub caps for about half their market value. Sourced via Facebook marketplace - bargains are there to be had if you can be bothered with its search function.

They are to be my new winter wheels - Think I might fit the new Michelin CrossClimate 2…

Just ordered the CrossClimate 2! Michelin have a deal on (£50 off a set of 4) which meant the less-common 84 load rating version of their 185/60/15 size was just £83 a tyre fitted from my nearest ATS (I shall be taking the wheels there rather than risking their staff lifting Akoya in the wrong place however).

My plan is that these become my primary winter wheels while the chromed pepperpots and Michelin Primacy 4s the car currently has will be my primary summer wheels.

If I do part with one of my A2s then the new owner can be safe in the knowledge they will still be getting lightweight wheels with very respectable tyres for either season (pepperpots with Dunlop BluResponse for summers, SE 5.5J alloys Goodyear Ultragrip 9+ for winters, all 15” of course).

I ran the cross climates all the time and had no rel issues, quiet economical and grippy in bad conditions, probably best tyre ive ever used. Was on a Ford Kuga Boredem machine but i treated it with distain and made it work on country lanes and those tyre were superb. Got 25K out of them

Quality remains long after the price is forgotten. Or Buy cheap buy Twice. ?

Argh ATS just called - out of stock and no date from Michelin for more!!!!
Try Blackcircles you get a choice of fitting options, I drop mine off at the local BMW agents in Blackpool and get a full report on the rest of the tyres even if I'm only having the one changed. Plus it's not a drafty garage & complimentary drink.
