Today I.....

Today (well a few days ago) I fitted OEM Audi LED footwell lights by creating a hole in the glovebox and fuse cover panels and wiring into the CCCU. Dead easy if anyone wants full instructions. We also fitted a full LED interior light package. Some eye candy:View attachment 104230

Deva has led interior lights. It makes a massive difference, especially with the twist interior.
Thanks to David for fitting them.
Also in the boot.

I just remembered Not today :) but last Saturday, I added an air filter with the help of a good friend to my Tdi,
Here is what it looks like, I can now go through flooded areas around my warehouse & not get wet ;)

Amazing :) If I had known almost 20 years ago that I would keep my A2 so long I would have had it done. I guess it is only worth doing if the paintwork is 100% - no chips, scratches or dings. I see you are in Scotland; it should help with the winter muck on the roads.

That looks fantastic. Can I ask; was this something you did yourself or something you got a company to do? Excuse my ignorance - I don’t know what’s involved - but the results look superb.

well, I don't think that you need perfection for it as the coating helps against moisture and dirt to stick to the bodywork, mine is not perfect but it brings out a lot of nice shine and protects it

you could do it yourself, I paid a company to do it, plenty of them out there, about 500 GBP for the job, which is ridiculously expensive, but once on you can wash the car in minutes and it stays clean and shiny! it involves a machine polish to reduce marks/swirls and then they apply the coat. hope that helps!

If it gets the paintwork back to factory finish then its a lot cheaper than a respray :) £500 does seem a tad expensive though, I know it can be done for around the £350-400 mark but i suppose it depends on competition in your area.

Ouch, that is expensive, but as @A2Steve says it’s cheaper than a re spray and it really does look showroom fresh. Thanks for enlightening me
