Thinking of investing in a GO 300 .....

Seeing as the windscreen seems a million miles away ... anyone managed to fit one to the RHS Glass on the A-Frame?

Yep that's where mine sits, using the suction cup provided. Works fine but the wiring run would be messy if I plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket. It would need a proper wiring run behind the dash to be neat. As it is I don't bother: just charge it from the mains at home and run it off its built-in battery.

Cheers, Richard.

Sure, who hasn't?

I'm using TomTom5 on a smartphone (T-Mobile MDA pro, or O2 XDA Exec, HTC Universal, all the same).

Attached to Brodit holder. Although they make special clips that grab the middle vents or besides the gear lever, I opted to use a generic-type flexible gooseneck with suction cup and attach it to the side of the middle console.
So it sits just below eye-height at the passenger side, closer than the windscreen but still out of the way.
My power is a USB cable which I router behind the dash up until the top of the glove compartment where it emerges and goes over the passenger side 'handle bar', above the airbag.

Clear description, right? Maybe I should take some daft pictures.

The a-pillar side window would be nice too, but I'm right-handed and I have a LHD car. So that position is awkward for me. But not if I had a RHD car like you all have...

My TomTom happily sets that far forward in the centre of the car... Having it so far forward keeps it in your line of sight, but out of sight and far easier to focus and defocus on it as you drive. I found the side glass to be too close...

I must admit the wiring to the fag lighte is a pain ...

how long does a fully charged battery last?
