Trunk light... where are the wires ??

Hi all,

as far as I can remember, I never saw the trunk's light working... Always been telling myself that I should do something, but I've been very busy :D

This morning I pulled out the light (see picture).

One can see a twin connector. When I put my fingers inside the car's light location... no wires, no matching connector

Am I missing something here ? How the hell is this light supposed to be powered ??

Thanks for any insights,

If theres a light there then surely there's going to be wiring there too. What might have happened is the eprevious owner went to change the bulb and the wires fell out of reach and he left it that way. Have a good search as your fingers may not reach far enough inside there.

Thanks Sarge.

In case I can't catch anything, how do I take out the trunks' interior ? Any screws to look for or is it a clip/unclip stuff ?

Try using a straightened coat hanger, using the 'hook' end to fish it out.

Here some pics from the rebuild of my own Shoby Car to give you some idea. I will try to see if I have any other pic's.

If you have a 'false floor shelf' the side bracket will need to be removed to, where the shelf sits.

It's is screwed in not clipped in.

Edit: Actually I think you can see the white connector in the third picture, it looks to be litterally right above the light unit, therefore no big fishing should be neccessary :)
