TT 1.8t 225bhp engine into my A2

Yikes. That's a bold mod! Shame the Quattro system won't fit as well. I wish you success, you mad man. :)
I have a Quattro Audi S4 that I built already.

The A2 is to become my daily car . So 250bhp FWD will be fine

Cool project! Hope you will post a few videos when finalized!

Just curious.. is such a daily road-legal in UK? In Norway no way in hell the road authorities will approve such engine, and the car will neither be MOT’d by any workshops.

Yes easy to do in the UK.

If I can get away with the Audi S4 on UK roads and that is running over 600bhp now🤪

Great effort there for sure, it'll be a very interesting and fast car, looking forward the updates.
Do you have more info on the 1.6 BCB with AUB head change? I'm planning to make around 100hp instead of 75 hp, which to be fair is around 68hp after 20 years, and that mod sounds good. Has that been reliable? What ccu did you use? Any info is appreciated. Cheers.

I have done 3 1.6 engines into 1.4 A2’s now

2 of them used BCB engines and 1 used AUS engine .

Not had along of time on the project in the last couple of weeks, but this is what I have been upto.

Have removed all wiring off the engine and cleaned up.

1.Removed all power steering pump and pipe work
2.Removed Aircon pump
3. Cut and remounted bracket to just hold alternator
4. Removed standard oil cooler jacket and fitted a mocal sandwich plate ready to fit a 13 row oil cooler
5. Picked up 5speed gearbox and cleaned ready to fit

225 bhp (or more?) in something the size and weight of a shoe box...

That's going to be a lot of fun.

Is there a queue to buy it when you're done? If not, I'm starting one now!!

So I have spent today removing the 1.6 engine and then cleaning the engine bay.

Offered up the 1.8t engine with box .

The power steering lines are going to have to be re-routed because of the gearbox mount , but this isn’t a lot of work .

Believe the bracket for the top boost hose is going to be to high as well, going to fail the wiper motor assembly.
