I chucked away the quick release along the leading edge of the tray and replaced them with torx bolts. Have seen the aftermath of them not being secured by a mechanic in the past.

Happened to me in my S2 as we passed 145mph!

You should have seen the look on the face of the mechanic who had failed to secure the front edge properly 10 minutes before he hopped in to the passenger seat for a max speed run up Bruntingthorpe airfield - it was a poetic mixture of fear and embarrassment.

Cheers
Simon

I only go to one local garage and then only for specialist services such as wheel alignment or cambelt (the latter I may well do myself as the fleet will soon be all petrol)
We are on the same page, he's a car enthusiast too and can't stand botch-ups.
