Usual flashy horror show

Evening,

Yesterday had a stone in right brake on motorway, had to drive some distance before it fell away. Sounded awful like some lathe taking chunks out of the chassis.

Today I broke lightly in straight line and abs went bananas then all the lights and beeps came on. Big red flashing (!) Abs and asr.

Scanned it and see picture.

Can someone please point me in right direction for a good quality and sensor?

Thanks

Are you sure it was a stone and not an issue with the wheel bearing? Any wiring damage?

Replace no2 glow plug with the correct one for your car. The operating voltages are different for the AMF and ATL engines.

Hi, I'm sure it was stone as it varied in sound a lot and when I reversed I heard it fall and the car was 100% immediately.
I haven't been able to check underneath yet for the wires condition.

The glow plug one is odd, it didn't come up on the second scan I did tonight. I changed glow plugs 18months ago and thats not come up before in other scans.. any ideas on what bosch-beru ones are correct part for atl? I might change again for he'll of it.

Have a good look at the loom for the glow plugs as the connector caps can easily fail.

You are running with the backing plates for the discs fitted I take it? From Ross Techs Wiki for your error code depending on the rest of the error code message...

Glow plugs on this diagram just check the 2 way arrows for part numbers...

Are all your brake lights working correctly and the brake pedal switch. A fault in this circuit makes the glow plugs warning light flash.

Thanks pal. Yes I have rusty saucers in place, will change them in summer I think.
My brake lights working fine, no glow plugs flashing on dash.
Think it's the abs sensor gap or wiring. Will delve in there Saturday. I'll disconnect inspect and reconnect the glow plugs too.

Hi Crispy ... these Febi Bilsteins have worked for me ... I replaced all of mine with these without issues:

So this morning, I checked and cant really see any broken wires. Turned the key and no faultts did emergency stop ABS works, did a wheel spin and traction control works. Odd ust have been water and debris in the sensor pots.

Ahh its happened twice since, once with yellow steering wheel too. Next morning all fine. Will take wheel off this weekend and check the sensors adn cleen the abs rings out etc. Hopefully just crud of a fragile connection. Always front right ABS fault though on VCDS.
