V aux belt

Hi, I ordered the 6pk995 belt for an A2 1.4tdi with air con. With the pulley pulled right back I just can't get the belt over the alternator. Have I got the right one?

Is the belt sitting correctly on all the pulleys? Yes that belt is an equivalent for the OEM part number for air con 1.4 tdi. Either wrong belt actually supplied or the tensioner not fully off.

Hello Rich,

From looking on AutoDoc they offer 2 auxhillay belt lengths for the A2 TDI (AMF/BHC).

860mm for non air conditioning
995mm with air conditioning

You should have the correct belt but it’s been awhile since I changed mine so cannot offer anything more than you got the correct belt. Maybe the tensioner has more to go possibly as it really should be 10-15 minutes task.
