VAG at the manor show 26th June

Regretfully, I'm no longer able to attend due to work commitments. I hope you all have a fantastic day, and I'd certainly love to see some photographs! :)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Many thanks,

Matt.

How about getting a few pizzas delivered to the gates?

Happy to contribute at least half the costs of as many as we need to satisfy everyone

This is assuming that there are no Pizza vendors on site.

I always wondered why Pizza places don't have a bkaery attached anyway, surely that would be a Pizza Cake?

I will get my hat!

Serious about the pizza (or similar?)

This is based on the assumption that it was just the cooker that made it a no no.

I now have the tickets and wrist bands- just need to pack the A2oc gear and give the car a spruce. Looking forward to seeing you all - will see some of you at the hotel. Cheers Mike and Vonnie

For all those that are joining us for the meal on Saturday night the table is booked for 8.30pm. Cheers Mike and Yvonne

Well, we have arrived. Departed in the dry with a tidy car and arrived in the wet having driven through a torrential downpour or two. The early start and car clean was somewhat wasted I feel.

On a lighter note; full boot and 4 on-board and a tasty mpg for the FSI. Happy with that.

Just a note to say what a great day and brilliant weekend.

Di, the kids and I had a blast. it was great to see old friends, make new friends, talk shop (read A2s) and see Steve B's latest modification; a tight fit is an understatement.

Thank you to Mike and Vonnie for the organisation and to everyone who came, made the event a success and embraced my family within the family that is A2OC. It is fair to say that Kayleigh and Kieran where sceptical about going on Saturday morning, but thanks to everyone who took them to their hearts, they are now counting down to the next social and also have one or two new friends to play with (you know who you are... :D).

Thanks a a million to everyone.

Got home from the show at just gone 7pm rather tired but full of good memories from the weekend. We decided to make a weekend of it so arrived at the hotel n friday afternoon, after a good night in the bar and restaurant we needed sleep. We had a lazy get up and breakfast where we decided to go to windsor for a walk and retail therapy. Lovely place and was very hot and humid walking about so headed home where we decided to clean the three a2's in the rain ! it worked well and it soon became sunny so out came the polish so our rides looked fresh ready for the show. Saturday night a few other owners joined us for an evening meal, i must say the waitress Charlotte looked after us like a champion all weekend with food and drink for 14 of us.
The morning of the show dawned and it was dry but cloudy. We set off for the meeting point and yes i took us the wrong way-why do you trust me ? we met up with the others and headed off to the show. The event was held in the grounds of a once stately home and was very impressive. Our pitch was a little small even if we were a few cars down due to "no shows". The sun came out and we were able to have a look around the show and enjoy a chin wag. There were some real interesting cars from all ages of VAG--i hope it takes place next year.
I took a few pics and will upload soon. So many thanks to all that came and made the weekend great fun-cheers mike and yvonne
