Can someone point me in the right direction to have my car scanned around the milton keynes area please? Many thanks, ive got an abs fault.

If you are handy (and have a windows laptop), vcds-lite is free and a suitable cable is under £20. It's likely to be a wheel sensor that's failed, vcds will confirm.

I’d be happy to help for free :)

You will have to wait till next weekend though as I’m currently downloading VCDS on my old computer and I’m waiting for the lead to come through the post :)

All I would need is petrol money as I’m not round the corner :)

As @damadgeruk said if you have a old computer just download it for free and buy a lead for £15 of eBay :)

What exactly is the issue? I just had the ABS, ASR and brakes warning on the dash after hitting a nasty pot hole.. VCDS said front right sensor intermittent. Cleared fault but ABS light still on. Took the car around the block and all lights off. What wheels and tyres do have and on what suspension. I have seen wide tyres wear through the ABS wiring.

I'll be passing on the M1 later tonight, around 21:00 to 21:30
I could do you a scan then as I've got my laptop with me.
DM me with your details by 20:30 if you'd like me to pop round tonight.
Cheers
Ian

Its on the standard 17 inch sport wheels, it resets every time i turn it off and on, local mechanic looked and said it there was no power in the plug so done the loom. Started it up and same fault, but there is power there now. So hes suggesting a new sensor.
