When this A2OC fun started i believe there were a few intrepid members who clubbed together to purchase a cable and laptop? Was it HEX-CAN USB model?

Anyone know of one in NE England? Need to diagnose a fault with my DSG style gearbox.

Hi, I've got a full HEX+CAN interface and am based hust outside Manchester.

That's probably not much use to you, but I will be in Whitby next weekend for the Goth Festival and could meet you to do a quick scan.

Lukas, I believe that Stuart may know the location of then VAG Com we clubbed together to buy. Not too sure , but I remember asking him some time ago and seem to remember a positive reply. If I have got it wrong Stuart, my apologies.

Our colleage mlarner has the adaptor. We have previously touted the idea of hiring it out - but might be costly to insure to send around the UK. Will have another dig.

I guess this will be quite an old VagCom adaptor, without the built-in dongle. If so, it will only work with a registered laptop / PC and requires de /re-activating to work on a different computer - See section 3.5 of the attached link. If this is the case then it won't be practical to hire the adaptor out - unless it comes with a registered laptop.

I do have the VagCom that Stuart sent us when he handed over the "Club" bits & pieces. Not sure what sort it is. This is the VagCom that Stuart passed on. Will happily post it to a member if they pay a returnable deposit + postage. Contact me if any use etc.
