Very dodgy gearshifting

Andy, where IS the oil seal, please? Is it part of the tower, too? If not, do you have a part number for it? You mentioned that you're about to do another bearing replacement? I wonder if you might be able to take a few photo's as you do it? That would be very helpful! Maybe it's easier to just replace the bearings and oil seal? Back to that toss of a coin!

Will send pics tomorrow all being well.
The oil seal sits on the very top of the tower, where the shaft disappears into the box...easy to spot....
