Need a locking tool for this vibration damper on my a2 1.4 tdi. I have one for the other damper with the holes in it but I can’t find one for this type. Brian

Why would you want to lock the vibration damper? For changing the cambelt, it is required to lock the crankshaft but that requires removing the vibration damper.

The tool to lock the crankshaft is here:

Note that there is a similar tool for later oval sprockets, as noted in the ad. The two are not interchangeable.

Just looked at it again and I have the other locking tool. I thought I needed to lock the vibration damper to tighten the crankshaft nut but I see the damper fits over the nut.
