Votex Body Kits For Sale

the above is mine for sale guys, dont intend on selling it but tbh i dont have an A2 to put mine on at the moment so thought id offer it for an inflated price so someone has the option when the other stocks run out.

We sold our A2 about 4 months ago due to finacial difficulties with our business we needed the cash but adore them and cant wait to own another (this winter hopefully) .

If our Kit doesnt sell by then it will be going on the A2.

P.s - the box is bloody massive too, curently sitting against the wall in the living room so need to move it to the shed soon.

Also worth noting, Part Depot now have another Ad on ebay priced at £299 - 3 in stock.

pic of our old A2 - sorely missed ;(

Yeh, With regard to that Ebay listing, I think that the quoted cost for fitting (£100) and painting (£285) is pretty good, too! I was quoted £600 for the whole job (admittedly from a professional outfit) and had thought to take them up on it, in the near future .....

Yeah but I noticed they word it as they paint it on ya car and if they specialize in breaking Mazda bongos I don't think I would be using them lol. Although the bloke doing mine will do a special A2OC rate after he has done mine.

Is that the rate you quoted me Mark? Sounded good but i`m always after a bargain.

I too am very tempted even though the price is now £259.99

My only issue is how much longer my car will last and if there's any point in doing it if the car is going to be worthless soon. I'm currently at 104,000 miles and just had an injector replaced. To be honest its the first major thing to go on the car so i guess i'm pretty lucky so far but i am still concerned. If my car will go another 45,000 miles with the odd suspension coil or minor problem then I will just go for it as that means another 4-5 years for me.

What do you guys think?

Also, i know a guy that will spray and fix the body kit for £300

104k miles is really not that much for any modern car. If you service it well and don't drive it like you've stolen it then I don't see any reason at all why it won't go another 50k. Of course other things will expire from time to time - and I imagine failures will most likely be related to electronics, but most things are fixable. It's unlikely to explode, and it won't rust!

My 4 previous TDIs have all gone over 200k, and the actual engines were still fine after that point (it was the rest of the car which let things down!). This is my first A2, but I presume it will be the same in terms of long life (or even better, since the body can't rust).

JPA, I've owned and driven countless A2 TDI's and can assure you that the engines get better and feel smoother the more miles you put on them. The most miles i have driven was 192,000 and that car hummed.

I had a 2005 25,000 miler that was absolutely no better in fact probably not as good.

Obviously the above only applies if they have been well maintained and had the oil changed when required.

As you mention the main updating required will be the suspension components and having the right tyres makes a huge difference to the ride quality too.

I am very tempted to buy the votex kit bit am in 2 minds if it looks better with or without it?
What are peoples opinions on it?

Cheers

Will

Mine looks much better mate. I had my mirrors painted Yellow and the rear spoiler too, had the kit sprayed black to keep it like the Colour Storm.

Hello again guys.

So i've gone ahead a done it. I think that this is a classy looking body kit and can't wait to get it on. Will post some pictures once i have it done but it wont be for a while.

Also, while I'm at it i thought i might ask. I have the TDi Sport and so dont have the spotlights at the front. Is there a way to get these?

Anyone used adhesive with bodykit

Hi, in was one of the lucky ones to get my hands on the cheap body kit from parts depo(£199), and I am giving it a go putting it on myself but the adhesive is out of date, would it still be ok to use or do I need to get new stuff?

JPA you can get fogs fitted for looks but very tricky to get wired in.

Dean00 I would be inclined my self to get some fresh adhesive. The old stuff might not be as strong any more. The last thing you want is fitting and painting your lovely new body kit for a part to drop off!

Cheers

David

Just a couple of mine after the kit was fitted.

Cheers

Mark

That looks nice mark.

I have been playing with Photoshop to see what mine would look like with a bit of work.
Skirts and front and rear are yellow at the moment. but with some black photoshop work might look better.
Will post some pics up when i upload them etc.
