VOTEX Kits - History lesson

So, given all the talk we've been having recently about "original" options for the A2, nowhere on any of the options pages can I see the Votex body kit. Now I was always given to understand it was a "dealer fit" option, and having looked at various cars' with Votex from "new" I noticed that there is never any mention of it on the "Options" sticker in the boot.

My question therefore is was it available at all dealers, and how did they go about advertising it?

Also, given the rarity of them, and as some have seen my ProjektZwo wheels, I know that these were available at the same time, but I don't think I've ever seen a ProjektZwo kit on a car, but I do like the rear end of them, the front treatment not so much.

Petra has the front on her car “humpy” that she shared with Tony from A2cars. There were a couple of members that have the rear valence with the twin exhaust (one is not functional )

Votex was a kit made by MS Design in Austria. The kits were available at least through German dealers as a dealer-fit option at €1200 or so IIRC.

Projektzwo sold very, very few kits. I've only heard of a handful in existence.

MS design still exist; someone asked them to make a second batch of the Votex kits? Maybe they still have the molds etc?

I suspect strongly they won't do it unless there's serious numbers involved, and that means >100. I haven't personally asked.

Email sent earlier; lets see if they respond or not.

More people showing interests should not make any harm!

Did they not even reply to your emails? Tried to call them?
No reply from any emails and when I tried ringing they had no idea what
They werew friendly enough but just had no idea about the Votex kits.

As I say, if someone gets lucky and the person on the other end knows what we are talking about then it is worth a try.

«Sorry but we have nothing on stock and production is finish.

We can’t started new production because the tool has already been scrapped.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for double checking with them.

This is one of the reasons that I did not class my copies of the Votex rear spoiler as “pirated”. If they were still available, that would be different. But since the manufacturer has stopped producing them (and even scrapped the tooling) then there is no issue with us making them.
I will soon be able to get some rear spoilers but the body kits are proving to be in the “too difficult” file.

Thought I'd resurect this old thread. The Projekt Zwo kit was supplied in the main via RSD in Daventry although listed via Audi I'm not sure they sold much except the wheels. The front bumper part that was on Humpy was the last part of the kit I had. I tried calling Projekt Zwo and had dialogue with them, but they have no stock and wouldnt enter into discussions to sell the mouldings or take an order to produce a limited run. This was my old one. The loop spoiler only fitted the 1.4 as it wasnt made for the larger 1.6 version.
