I have the moulds and I am just trying to find a reliable company that will produce them at a sensible cost and not mess me around.

UPDATE !!!!!

We have the moulds for the front and rear skirts done and ready, we also have the moulds for the Jacking Point covers ready (there are 4 of these).

The side skirts are proving to be difficult, because they are so thin and floppy, but we expect these to be ready in March.

So, Jacking point covers first (in the next couple of weeks, I have been told) then full kits available around March.

Not costings yet, but these will all be sold at cost price to members (NOTE, I will not be including the cost of the moulds in the members cost price, I will pass that cost on to any sales AFTER the members have theirs!!!).


So WATCH THIS SPACE !

I am fortunate, I found a genuine "New Old Stock" kit and rear spoiler after a LOT of searching and so I know how difficult it is to get these new (nearly impossible now)

If these were just the usual aftermarket body kits I wouldn't bother, but the Votex kits look fantastic (in my view) and really compliment the A2 shape.

So it is worth the effort.

The only unpleasant bit has been having to make people wait for so long.

So I WILL make sure this is all sorted, however long it takes.

Sorry but what is the kit made out off ? Abs plastic or fibre glass

Injection moulding would have cost far too much and so these will be fibreglass. This also helps with the side skirts because they are VERY thin and so flimsy and tricky to make.

The rear spoilers are also fibreglass but they seem identical in appearance, weight and flexibility

Hi Keith,

yes, they really do suit the A2.

It does take time to get them made though, mainly making the moulds has taken many months and production issues have delayed them further, but there is light at the end of the tunnel (and it is not a train coming the other way) and I am hopeful that we will be in a position to start delivering these in March (with some parts available from next month - Rear Spoilers and Votex Jacking point covers).

So watch this space and please be patient :D. But they are worth the wait (especially as the initial batches will be at cost only)

Things are moving along nicely, we are about to start producing the jacking point covers next.

Unfortunately they are all different and that adds to the cost a little.

I can't confirm a hard and fast price yet, but it is looking like they will come out at £90 a set of 4.

That is more than I hoped but as I say, this i based on the cost to us.

We will be able to sell them individually for those that have lost some at £25 each and that does seem to be a reasonable price for such a rare item.

I just hope that the ones that people have lost are all different or I will be left with part sets!!!

Again, I am not taking orders yet, I will wait until I have them in my hands!!

The final moulds (for the side skirts) are still being produced.

We have the Front and Rear skirt moulds ready to start producing kits when we have the side skirt moulds.

Again I cannot confirm a firm price for the full body kit (excluding rear spoiler)

But I know that people are keen to get at least an idea of the price.

Bearing in mind that there are 8 pieces involved (front and rear, both sides and four jacking points) it LOOKS LIKE (but I can't be sure) the price to members MIGHT be £500 plus P&P and £650 for the full kit including rear spoiler (remembering that the rear spoiler is not designed for the FSI).

These are cost prices and so if you think they are dear then it is not due to profit (there is none on member sales)

Although since they are virtually impossible to obtain I suppose the prices are ok?

Thanks Steve, I am too close to this to judge.

I paid £900 for a new old stock kit a couple of years ago, there is that one on Ebay at the moment £1,000 secondhand (not going to sell for that).

But even if people DO think these are dear it is only the price they are costing and so there is not much I can do about it.

Steve, I see from the Votex spoiler thread that the kits and particularly the jacking covers may soon be available!! May I just reiterate my interest in either a front offside jacking point cover or a complete set...

Although they're not ready yet, what sort of price are we looking at for A) a single Jacking point cover? B) a set of 4 jacking point covers?

Hopefully I can get my bumpers, bodykit and covers repainted soon!
