VW Local Dealer, Don't supply A2 Engine Oil Anymore..

Low Oil warning light came on today, went to a local VW dealer to buy a top-up, they no longer supply the A2 spec oil, 507, 5-30. Suggested I go to Halfords..?
 
Oil is a topic that comes up here regularly but being a 3-letter word the search engine in here won't find it. Try a Google search with "oil 507+site:a2oc.net" or similar as a search term.

Many online places will get you the required grade a lot cheaper than through an Audi dealership, sometimes even next day delivery. Otherwise, Eurocarparts with one of their weekly discount deals - I use Quantum pretty regularly. Halfords will have much the same stuff, but priced to make you regret it.

Try TPS they are good value for the correct grade I find.

I read a touch of 'concern' into your post so just to be clear VW 504 / 507.00 spec oil is still is still the recommended oil for dozens of VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda engine models and will be around for many years.

The VW dealer's decision not to stock 'top-up' bottles is probably related to lack of demand and not because the oil is discontinued
