Warning light start sequence

So a simple fix replace the steering angle sensor code it as needed and you'll be back to normal with everything working as it should...
I'm sure there's someone here with a good S/H unit they could supply you.

Did he get 00778 when he scanned and what was the wording afterwards i.e Faulty Defective or Implausible Signal. Steering wheel need to come off to replace so no harm in taking the wheel off and resetting existing from scratch, unless it was all working great and the light happened. If that is the case just swap it out for a replacement. Not sure how many variants of the angle sensors there are but would say swap like for like.

So, I have fitted the new angle sensor and no longer have the steering wheel warning but still have all the others. On YouTube, these lights spontaneously go out. I still have 00778. What are the chances of spontaneous relief?

I would have another scan and clear the codes. It may be the stored codes need to be removed even though the sensor has been replaced and although working the flag needs to be cleared.

Steering has not reset with the replacement angle sensor. Have I got another dud or does it need to be coded rather than just driven?

The man from ebay has sorted things for £20. Time now to prepare for the mot.
