Warranties???

I've got my eye on a nice 2001 1.4TDi SE being sold by the original private owner and plan to buy a warranty for a bit of peace of mind. Warranty Direct have quoted £275 for the year for their most comprehensive warranty with any work covered being done by an Audi dealer.

Has anyone got any experience with this type of warranty? Am I wasting my money? Will they try and wriggle out of everything? Are there better options?

I have a Lumley Warranty through Isaac Agnew Audi and it is great. On the one occasion I have needed it, there was no problem at all in getting the work done. Over 4 hours labour apparently.

The warranty is £250 and I am in the process of renewing mine.

You can call Michael Williamson on 028 9038 0000 and work out the finer points.

The only real stipulation has to be that all servicing to that point has to have been done with Audi approved parts.
