Welcome Back A2...all is forgiven!

My thread title is harsh as I don't actually have anything to forgive my A2 for, but after suffering a minor front end bump in my A2 just before Christmas, it has just been in for bodywork repair this past week and a half, and all I can say is that I am glad to have my A2 back!!!

This is mainly because I was given a brand new Fiat Punto as a courtesy car, and it is quite possibly the worst car I have ever had the pleasure to drive!

To be fair, it didn't drive too bad - once up to speed, but the build quality and functionality was shocking. The ergonomics of the interior were awful - you had to lean and reach for almost every switch, and filling it with petrol was a nightmare as despite being on red, the fuel nozzle on every pump I used to fill up would cut out every 2 seconds as it thought the tank was full! And that was when I had fiddled for minutes on end in order to get the fuel cap off!!!

So, just wanted to let everyone know, that even if you do have the odd niggle with your A2, think of the other people out there that may be driving Fiat Punto's! The A2 may not be the best car in the world, but it's certainly not the worst either!!! :)

I want my A2 back too!!

Ditto!!
My A2 has been at the bodyshop for just over a week now after being pranged at the back on Christmas Eve.
I was offered a BMW 3 series or an A4 automatic. As I didn't trust leaving either of these in our communal parking area for fear of damage I enquired if they had anything smaller that might fit in the garage.
So I have driven a Mini cooper S for the last week and that wont fit in the garage either ... far too chunky. It guzzles unleaded like there was no tomorrow, cant get comfy no matter what i do with the seat or steering wheel and it doesn't hold the road well on uneven/wet/muddy road surface. There is no room in the back and the boot is pathetic. Switches everywhere (very confusing), displays difficult to read, a warning light came on at the weekend telling me I had a puncture - I hadn't!, the indicators dont cancel either.

I like the 6 speed box though and the 'sport 'button makes it go like a rocket.

I parked the mini near to a black A2 this afternoon and can safely say "no contest". The A2 knocks spots off the mini in looks alone.
Cant wait to get her and her new bumper back.
