There's lots more if you search 'stealth' and select 'titles only'

My car was increased from 95.6 BHP to 119BHP and 221lb of torque. Not a fast car by any means - but lots of fun in a small package.

You won't regret this, Vince knows his stuff and works to ensure that the remap is tailored to your specific car without compromising any safety tolerances.

I have just visited "Stealth Racing", (again!), on Tuesday! They are just a great set of Guys! (Vince, John and Dan) You will really enjoy your visit! My A2 went from ~80 to 108 BHP .... really worth doing! (That was a while ago .... not the reason for my latest visit) Vince knows these cars "inside-out" You are in safe hands! I go on the bus to Leamington Spa .... There is an Irish Pub there ... very cheap but good food ... and drinks! Guess what it's called? "Murphys" LOL! Lovely park, too!

Vince put a new injector in my A2 yesterday, a fraction of the cost of any other garage as they know what they are doing and in this case were able to source a used part :) I am hoping to get a remap done next year some time, he clearly laid out the benefits and also gave me the lowdown on how to maintain my engine properly, what Oil to use, when to service etc. Advice is free and worth a great deal (he also let me use his wifi so i could work whilst my car was being done)

ahh great thanks fella,s the car does alot of town driving so just feels like it needs to be a little less laboured so im hoping the remap cures/helps with this.

irish bar sounds right up my street:D

well its done and car feels much better now, overtaking is a breeze and as vince put it "it will drive like a petrol car now around town". forgot the other guys name but his blue a2 tdi 90 is the best looking a2 ive ever seen:cool: just a shame i was so hungover as i would of liked to stop longer for a chat as they were nice genuine fella,s just wish they were closer.

Wish this was cheaper. Only hear good things about (stealth) remaps. I cannot justify the cost of a remap as is.

It will transform your car at a cost of ~£250! Believe me, it is SO worth doing!

David

Undoubtedly, I'm sure it's worth every penny... But I bought the car for economy. To fork out £250, that would otherwise buy me a lot of diesel, flies in the face of that...

Most tuners quote that it improves economy, and in reality they are correct, because it burns the fuel more efficiently (hence the extra power)
BUT, once you have had the car chipped you will almost certainly drive the car with a little bit more enthusiasm, hence you will lose the MPG gains and probably have WORSE consumption.

But a chipped car, well set up can be a LOAD of fun, so if you are concerned about economy, then best avoid a chip change. If you want more fun / power, they are great!

I've found that the A2 (2005 1.4Tdi SE) is more economical since being Stealthed up to 96bhp. Previously it was averaging ~53mpg now its ~59mpg. Lots of short journeys so not stellar compared to some on here. And it feels so much better too.

I hear what you're saying. But as good as 6 extra MPG is, how many miles at 59 mpg would it take to get that £250 back? That's my issue. Each to their own,.. But I've always had an issue with people buying diesels because of MPG/saving money and then spending the money they will/have save(d) on a re-map. Just depends how you look at things. In saying all this, I won't lie, I have been tempted myself.

I spoke to vince this very morning and mine is booked in for next Friday 11,oclock...............woooo, cant wait :D

And I bet you won't be getting an extra 6 mpg - at least for the first 500 miles or so...

I had my 2004 tdi (75) remapped by Vince to 106 hp. The single BEST performance mod I've made to any car I've owned, and I've owned a few " performance" cars. Can't recommend this enough. My mpg is now no worse than it was before ( now I've stopped enjoying the extra performance ).

Hi
I have been modifying vehicles for over 40 years and I started out by fitting performance cans and then performance filters etc expecting great results. But was totally disappointed.
Yes, they improved the power and acceleration but by so little you couldn't tell the difference.
By far the best mod that you can actually TELL is an improvement, is a remap.
You will feel a difference and your economy will only suffer if you start driving the car harder because of the extra power.
So don't waste money on expensive engine / turbo mods. Get a remap from Stealth or if that is too far, someone more local.
Of you have improved the air intake or cams. Etc then you absolutely MUST have a remap if you want the extra power. That will ensure that the engine is set up for your kit.

Have fun ----SAFELY.
