What does it take??

Okay, we have touched on prices and various parts, but just what do the garages need to cover in a first service and why shouldn’t I just do it myself [able bodied with knowledge permitting].

Given that I have previously serviced my own Merc and my own BMW, is my baby A2 going to be that more complex or is it just a warranty and resetting the service module thing.

Just warranty.
The service module can be rest from within the car. Instructions in the handbook.

Do not reset the service indicator from inside the car as it changes the car from the variable service regime to the extended (ie fixed) service regime.

Funny that - my dealer's just had to reset my service indicator, 'cos after the service, they wrongly left it in fixed interval mode instead of variable!
