C cjscos Member 12 Nov 2008 #1 servicing the car tomo and i am not sure what oil to use in these engines? fully or semi synthetic, 5w30 ,10w40 etc? i have a 1.4 petrol 2001. it does short journeys around town a lot so would a 0w30 be ok to run in the engine or is that too thin? any advice appreciated

chb Well-Known Member 13 Nov 2008 #2 Castrol Edge 5w30 is the only stuff I have used in my 1.6FSI. I don't have experience of using other oils in the A2.
