What is the best drive shaft extraction tool - VW tool no. T10520?

I need to take the drive shaft out to replace a split CV joint gaiter and I'm planning to follow Depronman's post (can't find the link, but it's the one where he guides you through leaving the suspension assembled but removes the drive shaft). Irrespective of the sequence, I need to press the shaft out of the hub, and for any number of reasons am reluctant to belt the end with a hammer, even if an aluminium drift is used. When I last had it apart, I used medium-strength thread sealer to hold the d/s splines to the hub rather than the infinitely strong Audi formulation, so I'm hoping it shouldn't be too strongly held together.
The specified VW tool is T10520. I can't seem to find a source of this, so what should I use instead?
