Information What is the item that should be stuck to the windscreen please?

As per title.

What is the function of the wired item that " was " stuck to the windscreen of our A2?

What would our members recommend for refixing it to the windscreen please?

I'll pretty much guarantee it isn't a factory item. My guess is a powered transponder for road toll charging or aerial. Do you have an aftermarket radio, phone kit?

Bin it.....it's not an audi part or anything to do with the running of the car

Thanks for the replies.

It has two wires that disappear down behind the dashboard. It has no writing on the other side just a plain black disc around 15mm thick.

The A2 has the Audi Concert unit fitted.

See if you can trace the wires back and disconnect them,if not chop them off and tape over the ends( I know it's not the done way)then push them down behind the dash.Im sure there are not important and won't harm anything
