What should I do? (A2 buying question)

I share two cars with my parents (the A2 and an A6), and the A6 is getting too expensive (7 years old now and things are starting to fall apart...)

So I want to buy an A2 of my own and my parents keep the 1.2TDI, and I´m faced with a choice between a used 1.4TDI sitting at a dealership nearby (4 months old, 6000km on the clock, with everything on the options list except leather, including TV and SatNav) for 21000€ or go for a new one, which would cost about 1000 Euros more....

I´m leaning towards the used one, but would appreciate any suggestions you might have (after all, that´s what clubmates are for..:)

When we bought ours it was also a second hand it was an ex demo full off options for about € 1500 more +delivery etc € 1000,-
this totals 2500,-
Which is about 5000 of your old marks so I would go for the used one as long as it gets fully guaranteed by the dealer.
We had 12 months full guarantee + a free replacement car by faylure.
I would go for the used one with all the options for free.

Hi,
I just bought a new A2, custom built. Had a 2001 before. The new car is much better in all areas, better ride, better quality, more quiet.

Difficult choice though.

2003 A2 petrol with some extras!
 
Hopefully the used A2 will have had any issues sorted and be nicely run-in.

Is there more chance the dealer moving on the price of the used one?.

I think the dealer might be more willing to move on the price for a new one (that was my impression). But then he already had 40 A2´s standing on his forecourt....
As to whether all issues with the car are sorted out by now: it was an ex-Audi-factory car (I suspect they used it to show off all the extras), so I hope they will have resolved everything.

nimm den gebrauchten und dann verkaufe mir die Ledersitze wenn Du nicht magst lol !!!!!
Wie gesagt gibt er Dir auf den gebrauchten auch zwei Jahre Garantie ???
Und hast Du Dir die Frge mal gestellt bist Du der typ der TV und Leder barucht usw....

@Thomas: Der gebrauchte hat keine Ledersitze, nur diese S-Line Teilledersitze. Naja, brauchen tue ich TV usw. nicht, aber nett wäre es halt schon. Und wie oft kauft man sich schon ein Auto..:)

Recht hast du ich denke man(M) braucht auch im leben was zu spielen .....
aber ich denke das du noch versuchen solltest den gebrauchten zu handeln hast schon eine probefahrt gemacht ??????

The best thing to do is to play one dealer against another - that is how I got such a low price with extras like winter wheels and tyres thrown into the deal - I did it all on the internet using the gebrauchtwagen section of www.audi.de and then emailed the dealers - once 2 or three are after your business it is much easier to negotiate a discount than if you only use your local dealer. Also the website means YOU specify only the equipment you want - I paid Euro 15,125 for my car in Nov 2002 - it is just like your parents but with power steering - it had 9000km - i also got complete set of extra headlights and spare Tacho for UK plus complete service

I think you will save more money if you buy a jahreswagen - one year old because a lot of the depreciation has already gone - or make your parents a really good offer!

@ecoangel: My parents want to keep the 1.2, and I want the glass roof...:)
I found a 1.2TDI, built 01/2002, with 175000 km´s on the clock in my searches (for 9000€), I wonder how many hpurs of driving that were in the one year of driving..:)
