1. What is the space for top right?

2. What is the space for under that?

3. And…has someone stolen something from the space above the wheel brace?

the space top right is for a cd suttle if fitted
This is wrong if you mean aa audi CD-changer.
This space is: If you have a TDI, there is a 10 pounds heavy wheight in it!
Or: If you have the small Navi-system, there was the Navi-CD drive.
And right over it, there is a small space for the antenna diversity, if you have it! (Only with radio Symphony, I think.)

OK, definitive answer time:

The space above the wheel brace IS for the removeable towing ball.

The space at the top is for the aerial diversity switch box, fitted as standard on all 2002 models with either a Symphony2 or a Concert 2, but NOT the Chorus 2.

The space underneath this is where the Navigation unit was housed if you ordered the basic nav. package or, if you ordered the Navi.+, the cd for navigation was in the headunit and this space was then free for a tv tuner, which was an option for this headunit only.

Cheers,

Mike
