what's included in a rear drum kit?

I'm looking to buy a rear brake drum kit, something like:

but it's not clear what's included.

Is it the external casings, shoes, springs and cylinder?

From the pic, I'd guess you would only get the brake drums and possibly the countersunk head locating screws.
Even with a brake shoe kit I don't think you ever get the hydraulic brake cylinders.
Have you had the drums off yet as its quite likely you won't need many replacement bits

No I've not opened up the drums yet (waiting for the rain to stop), so I'm just planning ahead.

I presume the cylinder is only replaced if there are signs of leaking?

Thats right, you would only change a cylinder if it was leaking or either of the pistons had seized
