Whats that sound...

When I start the car from cold, there is a sqweeky sound just after the
car starts...

I tried to make a recording of it, you can hear it in the beginning of
the sound clip...

In reality the sqweeky sound is louder..

Sounds like the fanbelt might be slipping ........
But then im no mechanic ........

Personally I thinks is the starter motor not retracting quick enough and catching slightly.
I've heard a similar noise on quite alot of VWs when starting.

Get the same noise on my 1.4 petrol - Sounds to me like the starter motor staying engaged - recognise from other cars.
Personally starting to think Audis are not as reliable and well made as I had thought - perhaps i'm not in love enough with my wifes car to be that forgiving!
