Wheel bearing sizes

Evening oh wise ones....looking at a vrs hub swap for 288mm brakes...I noticed the hub bearings cam have an inner diameter of 27-30mm.

The outer diameter is the same 72mm for both A2 an fabia vrs mk1 so that's OK.

Even for just the A2 there's fluctuations online for.inner.

Does it matter? I presume the drive shaft ends are tapered so will move I or out a mm or two to take this up?

Thought it would be simple to buy some fabia bearings but not only are there power steering and non there different inner diameters and even abs ring types and hole.numbers!! Arghh

Hi all. Does Anyone know if bigger calipers(if so how much bigger and which ones) can be retrofitted to original hubs to increase stopping performance? Or do the hubs have to be swapped? Thanks Steve

Yes Ive read all those, just wanted confrimation of the correct bearing to put inside the VRS steering knuckle.
I presume the audi A2 bearings can be fitted ok given the OD is 72mm, but there are fluctuation in the inner diameter when looking at brands online. No one seems to mention the bearings so mustn't be a problem.

Does anyone know the correct inner diameter of A2 wheel bearing and the abs ring type? hole number etc?

I don't know the diameters (they are standard not 1.2tdi) but I used SKF for the fronts, part number VKBA3569 corresponding to various VAG part codes including - 6Q0407621AH, 6Q0407621AJ, 6R0407621A and 6C0407621.

They work well on my 310mm system using VRs-like knuckles and I have another pair for my 312mm system (big pile of parts awaiting assembly).

perfect thank you! SKF have a factory in my town so dont mind buying those :)
