Fraid scratched the front nearside. Recs for wheel refurbishment in Surrey sussex kent area please. What sort of price are we looking at for standard a2 1.4 tdise wheel? Also has anyone used a mobile unit?
Thanks.

Best place I know is Spit & Polish in Tonbridge. They do a wheel in a couple of a days if you just take the wheel in - if you want to take the whole car in you need to book in weeks in advance.

Usually £45+ per wheel - depends on the design. Our AMG wheels were about £49 for a simple one colour/finish design. Tel. 01732 367771.

My neighbours at work are a garage and the bodyshop guy said he would use Spit & Polish over a mobile guy for his own wheels, every time.

Thanks for that Gray. In the end went to Audi Crawley who supplied car. I have a quote of £85 and a guarantee of exact colour match etc. Took car in yesterday and they took wheel off and put on my space saver. Wheel is dealt with by a company who does all their alloy repairs.
Very strange feel to the car driving home on the space saver. Repaired wheel will be ready to be re-fitted on wednesday. Will let you know how it goes.

Drove to Audi Crawley tonight to pick up refurbished wheel. Mighty strange driving on space-saver wheel, wouldn't want to go over 50mph with this tyre.
Dealer ready for me and had coffee brewed. So welcoming and pleasant that the £85 I was going to part with seemed the right price for the coffee!
Wheel was put back on and you would never know that it had been damaged. Nice touch by the service dept was to steam clean my space saver wheel and put it in a bag that I provided.
I would rather have not paid that amount but the wheel looks as good as new and the experience was as usual with this dealer sooo pleasant. What more can you say.
PS. I don't work for them,honest.

going there in the morning need to get a new wiper blade I wonder whether they would fit it for me (free of course) now that would be a test of their service I can only ask

Dont know if this is of any interest to anyone but this company:-

http://www.performancealloys.com/details.asp?procedure=wheel&id_wheels='133'&id_wheels_manufacturers='Replicas'&id_wheels_sizes='16x6'&price='90'&permission=659227292

Do replicas of the standard 16" six-spoke found on a lot of A2's.
Cost is £90 each with a plain(ie no audi rings)wheel centre.
I've toyed with the idea of getting one of these to fit whilst I refurb my own alloys on a indivdual basis.
