From other companies: Rolls-Royce Phantom 2003, Jaguar XJ 2002 ...

Aluminium bodied cars.
What about Land Rover, Range Rover, Disco. I'm not sure about the Freelander.

Some Ferrari's are made of aluminium

Lamborghini Gallardo(its chassis is made by Audi), Dont forget the Audi Avantissimo concept, but the Pike Peak is not Aluminium.
 
In the debate over cars with aluminium bodies, don't forget those British classics still in production. They are the Morgan, the Bristol and Aston Martin.
 
Has anyone ever mentioned on the forum the BIG disadvantage of an aluminium car? The problem is that if it catches fire then you are left with a puddle of aluminium! I was once fortunate to witness a Land Rover spontaneously combust and rather less fortunate to find out that my rucksack & sleeping bag were still on board - but that's another story! When a Landie dies a flaming death there's often only the engine block and the suspension/subframe left......

Me - my first accessory was a BIG fire extinguisher.....

Once the car has cought fire you never want it fixed and returned to you. The heat and the fumes do so much damage to a car that it will keep getting new problems.
So if the car is burning, let it burn. And knock down anyone who tries to extinguish the fire :)
