Should I change a Renault Espace for an Audi Q5, peoples thoughts would be helpful.

Many thanks Tom.

Without a doubt! Renaults are bad for electric problems-had a few- and also had an espace, older one but was mint with every extra and the clutch went common fault if you read the forums. Was an expensive part to replace but managed a repair, although the whole dash and pedal assembly had to be stripped, wouldn't want top go through that again! Buy it!!

I have a 2012 Q5 2.0Tdi 170 S Line+ and its a lovely car. My only real gripe is that its a bit thirsty. Only getting 36mpg - driven a bit gentler than I do you'd maybe see 40mpg out of it.

The higher driving position is great, although cabin and luggage space isnt any better than the A4 and not much improvement over my former A3 Sportback.

Depends on whether you are buying new or used regarding the one to go for - and I'm sure many others will advise against it as the car isnt hugely popular on this forum!

Theres a Q5 specific forum too - there is loads of information on there to help as well:

Thanks Murdo for the link, is your Q5 auto just thinking about the fuel use.

The wife hates car shopping (she hates all shopping) trying to get her to a garage to change her car is very hard. Test driving for her is not important, just get me a car (it's better if its red)

No; its manual - I don't drive with economy in mind. The 3.0 TDi Auto is probably the ideal option for this car really. I had a 2.0 TDi for a couple of days on a test drive but the mpg was less - the DIS read 32mpg. I'd imagine the 3.0 would be pushed to break 30.

Another idea for everyday use thats well worth seeking out is front and rear parking sensors. It's quite a big car so this really helps.
