White Audi A2

Did Audi ever produce and import to the UK an Audi A2 in White ???

I saw one on 23rd June (last friday) at approx 14:15 - 14:30 leaving Castle trading estate in Portchester, Near Fareham, then headng towards Portsmouth along A27 past Port Solent, North harbour area.
 
I Have also seen a white A2 driving around Guildford ,Surrey
i suppose it could be the same car as its only 40 miles away ...
 
They were offered in Polar White for a while as a no-cost colour, along with Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Black and Brilliant Red. Why they didn't just make it complete and call it Brilliant White, I don't know (maybe Daz has a copyright or something ;o))

In recent years, I've got the impression that white cars are a surefire way to damage your re-sale value! Certainly, the buyer of a large car would be very brave to choose white.

Shame, really, as I quite like white cars on the whole. Had 2 in my time, Ford Escort MkIII and an MGC.
 
Well here in Dublin, white cars are exclusively used by boy-racers. Usually jap imports - Glanzas, Integras etc - and covered in stickers from Max Power magazine. I personally wouldn't be seen dead in one.
 
I hear the trend is for white cars making a comeback. E.g. the new Golf GTI and Porsche GT3. Maybe the market has had enough of silver?

I'd buy a white one if it were available, certainly wouldn't put me off.

As you may recall I obtained a load of A2 registration data from the DVLA and I did promise to provide the club with some stats. However, about 30% of the data was missing location information so that's why I've not reported. (I've met a fellow consultant who is working with the DVLA and she has promised to take the matter up with one of the directors; so watch this space, as they say).

Here are some stats on A2 colour. Bear in mind that the DVLA data seems to be based on dealer's input (rather than direct data feed from Audi) so based on some of the other erroreous data is likely to be less than 100% perfect - some no doubt are colour blind [grin].

i too would lke a white A2! TDI sport please :D i think it looks kind of retro in old skool white!

reminds me of my younger days in my white escort RS turbo! :eek:
 
I am surprised that the proportion of silver is so similar to blue. Most of the ones I see are silver by far. Second would be black.

Has anyone seen a purple one!:) I fancy yellow with open sky to match my motorbike:D

I have a Crystal Blue A2 but to me and many others it looks more silver than blue.
 
Well I think it looks fab in white though is that one a basic spec as it has the naff looking wheels(no offence to any owners!).

I have seen a yellow storm edition, I agree it looked very smart with its black roof
