That seems a little odd Ian. Did you give them a call to verify this was correct?
Good shout Murdo :) Spoke to a nice young lady in the call centre. The date is selectable on the calendar but they haven't released the rooms yet. It may be a few weeks before this happens, best advice is just to keep trying. She said they always release at midnight so the best thing to try is just before you go to bed on a late night.

Just to follow up on this one. I tried again to book the Premier Inn outside the Norfolk Showground some time later, but to no avail. This time it showed the hotel as fully booked rather than no rooms available. As a backup for now I've put in a Flex booking at the Premier Inn at the airport which is 7 miles away. If some space should come up at the other one I can always grab it and cancel the Flex booking, otherwise it's close enough to be workable.

Thanks Ian. I suspect that the festival organisers may have booked the Premier inn onsite for the bands/traders etc.
There are quite a few other hotels (the North one near the airport is pretty easy to get to). I'll put a list together with some current prices and post them today

Hi everyone. As promised, here are some hotel suggestions. All are within about a 15 minute drive from the site. Prices shown are current for that weekend

Holiday Inn Norwich Ipswich Road - nice hotel and easy access to the event and also the city centre. Has a swimming pool and health club plus lots of free parking. About £70 a night

Holiday Inn Norwich City - but further away but attached to the football club so good for footy fans. Again free parking and about £70 a night

Travelodge Cringleford - probably the closest, but it's at a service station so not very scenic, but very easy to find. Burger King onsite and McDs close by. Also about £70 a night

Premier Inn Nelson - close to the city centre and by the River so lovely location. But car park is chargeable (not outrageous) and close to nightlife. Just over £50 a night

Premier inn Broadland - nice place on a business park (opposite the Audi garage). Brewers Fayre onsite. Easy to find and free parking. About £50 a night.

I hope they are helpful. If I was choosing, I'd probably go with the first Holiday Inn, or Broadland Premier inn.
I understand that the Festival tickets should go on sale at the end of this month, but I'll post more then. There may also be glamping options ?

I’m thinking of sleeping in Boris to be honest ?

Thank you for an update Teresa.
We may change our mind about the hotel and decide on camping (have to purchase all goodies!). That can make the weekend more exciting. We'll think about it.
