Why would you do this to any a2?

On the plus side for a prospective buyer and assuming the adhesive strips aren't masking body damage, the bumpers will have been well protected meaning a very, very tidy and sought after example.

It shouldn't prove too onerous a challenge to remove the strips, clean up the bumpers and make good. Even if they are masking scuffs, a fairly cheap enough repair for a body-shop. Strips removed and it gets my vote.
