Why??

When I was on the boot Dover to Calais last monday, I had a very good weekend feel with nice A2facebook and A2 friends.
But when I put my movie of the audition online today, that feeling quickly disappeared.
Now I notice what a hatred prevails, my movie was removed on facebook by the Audi A2 Owners Group !!
Because your club is also on this movie, do not be crazy this is audis in the park!!!!
I have removed my Audi A2 Owners Group account right away, so I do not want to be in somewhere that I can not do anything about.
I'm going to leave you too.
I've removed several facebook friends, not for personal reasons.
But because there are friends who are members of both clubs, I do not understand what went wrong.

I'm a big A2 lover and do not make a choice for a club that have quarrel with each other.
Have a real pity, take an example to the German A2 friends.
If you have a conflict, talk to it, so keep a big happy club.

Sorry guys

Unfortunately, there is no DISlike button :( This makes me very sad. I managed to see the video George whilst it was still up, and from my point of view it showed both "groups" of A2s, together with the A2 Cars stall in equal measure. Why on earth it got removed from the "Group" I really don't understand, especially because of all the time you gave to Tony over the weekend.

I have always found the forum, and A2 Owners CLUB a very friendly place, the same cannot be said of the group, any negativity I have had from a few individuals, who are now banned from posting on A2OC.

Please reconsider, and don't leave the forum.

It will be a sad day to lose you and your Beautiful A2 as a member of this forum of like minded A2 enthusiasts Your A2 gives insperation too myself and others on how our A2s could look and ile also be sad to see you leave.

Hi George, nobody from our club made you feel unwelcome, therefore logically you have no reason to leave us, did anyone say anything to you from our club? please advise as we can investigate.

Why would you decide to leave our group when everyone welcomed you, highly appreciates you, your car and your drone filming (like I said on other thread I'm always fascinated and look forward to the videos). My wife is out right now and AITP was her first time attending, I am looking forward to showing her your filming when she gets in very late tonight.

We appreciate you therefore I make a request to stay on the club Buddy, look forward to many more videos :)

Well I've just joined and think this is a great forum, as for Facebook, I have no time for it, in my opinion it's full of 'oneupmanship' if that's even a word.
I for one, as a new member, can really appreciate the experience of members on here, so long may that continue.

To add to the above comments, I'm disappointed to read this and to also see that I am one of the people unfriended, though I understand your reasons. I felt we shared a very good rapport at the weekend and engaged in very good conversation regarding red snail and the A2 in the general sense. Your polished videos have always been a magnet for me and always raise a smile. I have watched many time and time again as they epitomise the A2 and the A2 following. I do hope that you reconsider; you are without a doubt a very nice gentlemen and one who is well respected amongst the community.

I'd also like echo the thoughts of others George and would hope that you can reconsider and stay as part of A2OC. I always enjoy your videos and appreciate the time and effort that goes in to them. It was great to chat with you in person and see the red snail.

Unfortunately some falling out amongst forums seems to happen accross many groups now and I guess it's just a reflection of what has always gone on in society, just that social media now makes it more visible and I think the anonymity of it makes it so much easier to voice opinions that on a face to face environment may never occur.

You wil of course do whatever you feel is right, I can only say what a pleasure it was seeing your car and spending a few minutes talking to yourself and your wife at ATIP.

Sadly it is just the few that seem to fuel this sort of atmosphere that has so dismayed you and it would be a real shame if the actions of just a few then deprive the rest of us from the richness of knowledge and inspiration from people like yourself.

The actions of the guys on the Facebook group in doing that is unforgivable.

Your video was fantastic and shows cars and people enjoying a great show. It is really dreadful that the other group would be so petty as to remove it just because it shows our club cars. Are they so jealous of our warm and inclusive approach to all our members? If so that is very sad and it is just another sign that some of the organisers of that group are not genuinely interested in their members, it was set up to "throw rocks" at our club.

George please don't feel that you have to leave our club, you have always been welcome here and some of the organisers of that group attempted to drive a wedge between us. Let's not let that happen please. You and your car and your enthusiasm are a bonus to any club and I hope you stay.

George

love your car, and you contributions on this forum. Would love to have met you face to face at AITP, but I couldn't make it. Thanks for sharing the video though, really enjoyed watching it. Hope we can meet up soon.

best regards

Agree with the sentiment of all these statements. George - you're one of the most inspirational A2 enthusiasts . Your contribution is a stand out. I'd suggest that's true across Europe . A brilliant and unique car plus your drone photography is innovative and hugely entertaining. Please don't leave.

Hi Pocoloco,

We've never corresponded and I wasn't at AITP but, as a member of this forum, it's been a great privilege to see your photography and the development of the 'red snail'; despite my own A2 being bog standard (ish), yours is the one I aspire to emulate.

I hope you'll reconsider your decision to leave this forum. I can understand why you might wish to dissociate from those Facebook 'friends' who at times have been active supporters of those who set up the 'rival' group but see no reason to leave us.

Please reconsider. We 'ordinary' members will be much worse off without you.

Kind regards,

Jeff
