Hi guys
I have an Audi A2 1.4TDi 2004 and it needs a new windscreen wiper. Any advice on model/make? I think the one on there already is a twinaero blade?
Any suggestions would be greatful.
Cheers
Nice car you have there. Good to see another discerning Essex A2 owner.
The original wipers from Audi are always my preferred choice.

How did you manage to bend the arm out as quite flexible?Had windscreen replaced two weeks ago by Audi approved body shop. Noticed a creaking and squeaking sound yesterday. After an inspection today we established it might be the wiper. I noticed the clearance between the floppy wiper blade mount was rather close to the glass - around 5mm say. It would appear that during driving the wind pressure plus uneven road surfaces was causing the metal of the wiper to make contact with the glass hence the creaking/cracking/squeaking sound. Solution was to bend the lower arm out and the upper arm in towards the windscreen. Clearance now around 10mm. Now, blade still cleans the screen and no more noises. Thought this might be helpful to others who have windscreen noise related issues.

Yes I wondered that to because being a twin metal wiper arm there’s a lot of flexing in them How was it bent outward? How did you manage to bend the arm out as quite flexible?

Thanks for the reply appreciatedNo response from 5 years ago, huh? The bending would be by hand, twisting the entire arm end clockwise when viewing the wiper arm end-on. However, bending the arm is a temporary solution at best, normally the underlying issue is usually wear in the brass bushes in the end joints. Talk to @depronman for refurbished wiper arms.

Thanks..I found it difficult to find the correct wiper blade fitting for my 2001 Audi A2 1.4tdi because every time they check the book it gives the wrong type..Mine is 28inch -700mm and truck hook fitting approx 11mm width..Eventually I got the correct one which is Bosch N70 which is original shape with great clearance on windscreen not Aero blade which actually scratched my screen because too low...My local FMP..Motor Factors Baglan moors, Port Talbot...Price just over £10Best Value Blades are these : - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234190655543

Ah ! Forgotten about the early Non Aero Blade set up, as I’ve never had one. I think advice may be to change to the later Aero Arm and Blade ?Thanks..I found it difficult to find the correct wiper blade fitting for my 2001 Audi A2 1.4tdi because every time they check the book it gives the wrong type..Mine is 28inch -700mm and truck hook fitting approx 11mm width..Eventually I got the correct one which is Bosch N70 which is original shape with great clearance on windscreen not Aero blade which actually scratched my screen because too low...My local FMP..Motor Factors Baglan moors, Port Talbot...Price just over £10
