I edited your post again, there needed to be a space before the '...' after his name, for the forum software to recognise it as a user name you were entering. Now you can hover over the name and you'll get a button to start a conversation with him.

The hook style gets a lot of stick but once the slop is removed it’s actually very good and you can get an aero style wiper blade for it

I wish to take up your offer of a refurb/ service on the wiperarm fitment to my audi a2 .. it is the hook type attchment .. can you please reaffirm pricing and proceedures .. my wiper arm still in situ so can you confirm you would be able to send me refurbished item until i can forward my wiperarm to you.. dependant of course on returnable deposit .. regards .. David

Hi David
If it is a hook arm that you have then the price is £35 postage is £7 and there is a £50 deposit returned on receipt of your old wiper arm back to me, note the old arm must not be cracked / broken across the alloy mounting bolt area so take care when removing it

I will send you out a refurbished arm, you fit it and return the old arm to me and I return the deposit

I will send you a PM with payment details
I’m currently in Gran Canaria until the 4th May so no great rush as I obviously can’t send the refurbished arm out until I’m back home
I do have one in stock already refurbished

Tip for removal - undo the two nuts two turns then pull upwards hard on the alloy part of the wiper arm and rock it slightly whilst pulling. Once it comes free of the taper it will hit the nut and not hit you in the face

Hi paul , have received refurb wiper arm via EVRI , very happy with workmanship , your engineering background stands you in good stead , as ive seen on other projects also , im sure all members will join me in expressing many many thanks for your efforts on behalf of a2 owners , obviously its the difference between keeping the car on the road or not .

Hi Paul , have managed to remove wiper arms from car,, not easy , i think theyve not been taken off since initial build , had to use pullers , no removal damage , one problem , i have in my household a lurcher friend .goes by the name of RED , doubles as a shredder ,hes removed your post code from the package address note , i do appologise for inconveniance caused ,can you please mail me with post code details ,many thanks once again , regards, David .

I have a 2004 1.4 TDI owned from new. The aero blade arm has started scratching the windscreen. Can you provide a refurb replacement?

All done. The refurbished aero arm looks brand new and seems to be working perfectly. Getting the arms off proved quite tricky, but it was the first time in 18 years! If I did it again, I would take more care recording the correct angle for the main arm.

Paul, do you do any other A2 bits?

Whao ! what a fab looking upgrade to the lousy Mk1 & Mk2 Audi A2 Factory windscreen wiper, looks a substantial upgrade, I see you are from Glasgow in the west of Scotland and can imagine it would have been well and truly tested for your Wet Wet Wet Climate, 5Stars for thinking outside the Box Proximo.
